Wayback Attic is located on the historic square in downtown San Marcos. Occupying the northeast corner of the square, Wayback Attic sits right on top of the Root Cellar looking out to Texas State University. Poised across from the statue of Jack "coffee" Hays, we proudly serve the community of San Marcos.
Mike & Valerie own and operate Wayback Attic because they LOVE books, coins, movies, music and video games, and bring over 25 years of retail experience to the Attic. Come on by to see what they love best...
OUR MISSION: Wayback Attic is a locally owned community bookstore dedicated to providing the Hill Country with a unique shopping experience. From literature and history to science fiction and comics, we aim to provide products that expand your mind, entertain you, and give you a pop culture experience.
Wayback Attic embraces sustainability and encourages others to do the same. Through a cycle of reusing and recycling books, movies, and video games, we keep prices low, share ideas and information, and positively impact our ecosystem.
If you can't find Mike or Valerie in the Attic, look for them paddling down the San Marcos River or hitting the road for an adventurous road trip.
